Artykuł koncentruje się na kwestii zachowania równowagi pomiędzy pracą a życiem osobistym pracownika. Równowagę taką wspierać mogą rozmaite instrumenty, między innymi: zapewnianie elastycznych warunków pracy, zapewnianie szeroko pojętej pomocy i wsparcia z obszarów pozazawodowych, typu: kultura, rekreacja, zdrowie, pomoc w opiece nad dziećmi itp. Ilustracją prowadzonych rozważań jest przykład dwóch firm z regionu łódzkiego, stosujących różne instrumenty z zakresu W-LB.

This article concentrates on the issue of maintaining balance between employee work and personal life. Various instruments can support this balance. They include guaranteeing flexible working conditions and providing wide–ranging assistance and support in non–business areas, such as culture, recreation, health, childcare, etc. Two companies from Łódź provide an illustration of various instruments in the area of WL–B.
