The article discusses the role of leadership as a key factor affecting the development of creativity in the high-tech enterprises. In this context, basing on the analysis of the literature, the article presents the leadership styles which are particularly important for the development of creativity in contemporary high-tech enterprises. The article presents the results of research conducted within the project relating to the area of leadership in high-tech enterprises of the aviation industry. The area of executive leadership refers primarily to the analysis of the role of the leader of the organization, and the qualities and skills which a leader should have in motivating and stimulating the creative behavior of employees.
