Autorzy przedstawiają wyniki badania opinii nauczycieli akademickich na temat wybranych aspektów pracy w szkolnictwie wyższym. Przedmiotem ich zainteresowania badawczego były m.in. następujące zagadnienia: przyczyny podjęcia pracy w szkole wyższej, oczekiwania związane z pracą zawodową i ich realizacja, czynniki wpływające na osiągnięcia naukowo-badawcze, uwarunkowania rozwoju kariery zawodowej, charakter zmian wspierających rozwój kadry naukowo-dydaktycznej.

The authors present the results of the survey of teachers on selected aspects of working in higher education. The subject of their research interests have included the following issues: reasons for working in high school, expectations for professional work and their performance, factors affecting the achievement of scientific research, career development conditions, the nature of the changes to support the development of academic staff.
