A escrita da História se utiliza, cada vez mais, de elementos que promovam um reconhecimento da experiência histórica do outro. As narrativas sensíveis são incorporadas na produção historiográfica, estabelecendo uma conexão entre os agentes históricos. A literatura de testemunho constitui-se como um registro privilegiado destas trajetórias sociais, revelando particularidades sobre as sensibilidades cotidianas de diferentes grupos, possibilitando uma compreensão mais ampla do processo analisado. Este texto centra-se nas obras literárias O centauro no jardim, O ciclo das águas e Os deuses de Raquel, do escritor judeu gaúcho Moacyr Scliar, identificando a contribuição das mesmas para a compreensão da História da imigração e das formas de adaptação da comunidade judaica no sul do Brasil, no século XX

History writing uses more and more elements that promote recognition of the historical experience of the other. The sensible narratives are incorporated in the historiographic production, establishing a connection among the historical agents. The testimony literature is constituted as a privileged register of these social paths, revealing particularities about the daily sensibilities of different groups, making a broader comprehension of the analyzed process possible. This text focuses on the literary works O centauro no jardim, O ciclo das águas and Os deuses de Raquel , by the Gaúcho Jewish writer Moacyr Scliar, identifying their contribution to the comprehension of the immigration History and the ways of adaption of the Jewish community in the South of Brazil, in the 20th century

O Brasil foi o primeiro país da América Latina a reconhecer a independência da Polônia, o que foi um grande sucesso da comunidade polônica brasileira, e sobretudo de Kazimierz War-chałowski. A sua energia, obstinação e devotamento conduziram a efeitos em que poucos an-teriormente acreditavam. Isso foi o coroamento dos quinze anos da sua estada no Brasil, du-rante os quais conheceu preeminentes políticos brasileiros, entre os quais Rui Barbosa e os presidentes do Brasil Venceslau Brás e Nilo Peçanha. O envolvimento deles na causa da Po-lônia era também o sinal das crescentes aspirações do Brasil a desem¬pe¬nhar um papel mais importante na arena internacional. A I Guerra Mundial trouxe para a Po¬lônia a independência, e para o Brasil, um lugar à mesa da Conferência da Paz em Versalhes. Todos os postulados do Brasil foram aceitos. Graças ao envolvimento na guerra, ampliou-se o significado interna-cional do Brasil.

Brazil was the first country in Latin America that after World War I recognized Poland’s in-dependence. This was a great success for the Brazilian Polonia, especially for Kazimierz Warchałowski. His energy, obstinacy and dedication led to effects in which few previously had believed. This meant the completion of the fifteen years of his stay in Brazil. He had known during this period preeminent Brazilian politicians, such as Rui Barbosa, the presi-dents Venceslau Brás and Nilo Peçanha. Their engagement in the Polish cause was also a sign of Brazil’s growing aspirations to play a more important role in the international arena. World War I brought Independence to Poland and, to Brazil, a place at the Peace Conference table in Versailles. All Brazilian postulates were accepted there. Thanks to the involvement in the war Brazil saw a growth in its international significance.

What is theology? What way of thinking does the study of theology presuppose? Is theology irreconcilable with the modern historical consciousness? Based on the lectures on theology in John Henry Newman's work The Idea of the University, we consider theology the science of God in the broader sense of the word, that is, in the sense of a systematic study. This science has a unique position in the system of sciences due to its specific subject, which is God. Theology is not ahistorical; its methods correspond to the conditions of human cognition, because it is the only way of cognition available to us as humans. It examines the truths about God that are based on historical Revelation. It is therefore a historical reflection on God based on God’s historical Revelation. The method of theology is at the same time analogical and spiritual, in the sense of investigating and learning the truths about God through the deeds, teachings and the mind of Jesus Christ.

Čo je teológia? Aký spôsob myslenia predpokladá jej štúdium? Vylučuje sa teológia s moderným historickým vedomím? Vychádzajúc z prednášok o teológii v diele Johna Henryho Newmana Idea univerzity označujeme teológiu ako vedu o Bohu v širšom chápaní slova veda v zmysle systematického štúdia. Tejto vede patrí v systéme vied jedinečné postavenie vzhľadom na jej špecifický predmet, ktorým je Boh. Teológia nie je ahistorická, jej metódy zodpovedajú podmienkam ľudského poznania, lebo je to jediný spôsob poznávania, ktorý máme ako ľudia k dispozícii. Skúma pravdy o Bohu, ktoré sa zakladajú na historickom Zjavení. Je teda historickým uvažovaním o Bohu, ktoré sa zakladá na historickom Zjavení. Metóda teológie je zároveň analogická a duchovná, v zmysle skúmania a osvojovania si právd o Bohu sprostredkovanými skutkami, učením a mysľou Ježiša Krista.
