Nowadays, crimes against archaeological heritage are not associated with social disapproval. Nobody is surprised to see people with metal detectors walking around and looking for the relics of the past. Despite the tightening of legal regulations “treasure hunt” is still very popular in Poland. People are trying to dodge the regulations, joining groups of seekers. They exchange experiences on social media, displaying the feeling of impunity. Where this phenomenon comes from? Can we fight against it?
