This article examines the personnel policy of Duchess Anna of Radziwiłł of Mazovia, who ruled as regent for her minor sons, Stanisław and Janusz III, after the death of her husband, Konrad III the Red. Although she formally held the right to appoint officials, her ability to exercise this power was initially limited by her weak political position. Over time, however, her authority strengthened, allowing her to make appointments more freely. She began promoting individuals from outside the traditional magnate elite, often selecting them from her own dower estate. The article also offers a social profile of those who emerged within the court and administrative structures during her regency.
