The author of the article discusses the topic of influence of postmodern culture on religion defined as the spiritual sphere of a man. The aim of the article is to prove that the ideas of postmodernism have had an impact on shaping the spiritual side of a man as well as his/her existence in a society. The author reflects on certain features of postmodernism understood as a cultural phenomenon having come into existence and developing in the theoretical and social planes. The author points out to the fact that in postmodernism religion is not endangered by secularisation understood as a fall, or atrophy of religion. However, what we observe today is the process of losing the influence on a society by the Christian religion. The author concludes that privatised and individualized religion, autonomous in the matters of faith and morality for an individual, ironically becomes transcendently homeless and unable to build its personal and social identity.

W artykule podjęty został temat wpływu kultury postmodernistycznej na religię, rozumianą jako sfera duchowości człowieka. Poddano refleksji pewne cechy postmodernizmu, postrzeganego jako zjawisko kulturowe. Przedmiotem analizy są przemiany religijności dokonujące się pod wpływem kultury ponowoczesnej, m.in. zjawisko pluralizmu religijnego, indywidualizacji religijności oraz odrzucenia religii zinstytucjonalizowanych. Autorka zwraca uwagę na to, że w ponowoczesności religii nie zagraża sekularyzacja, rozumiana jako upadek lub zanik religii. Występuje jednak proces utraty wpływu na społeczeństwo wartości fundamentalnych dla religii chrześcijańskiej. Autorka konkluduje, że sprywatyzowana i zindywidualizowana religia jednostki autonomicznej w sprawach wiary i moralności, czyni ją paradoksalnie transcendentnie bezdomną oraz niezdolną do budowania własnej tożsamości osobowej i społecznej.
