Artykuł opisuje działania i inicjatywy bibliotekarzy podejmowane w Bibliotece Politechniki Białostockiej na rzecz dzieci. Poprzez zajęcia edukacyjne skierowane do nietypowych użytkowników biblioteki naukowej, jakimi są w tym przypadku najmłodsi, kształtowany jest jej wizerunek. Podjęte działania to sposób na promowanie się biblioteki i nawiązywanie przyjaznych stosunków z potencjalnymi, przyszłymi użytkownikami.

The article describes the actions and initiatives for children, taken up by librarians of the Library of Bialystok University of Technology. Education initiatives and activities aimed at unusual users of an academic library, in this case the youngest readers, form the library’s image. Such actions are a method of promotion for the library and an appropriate to establish friendly relations with potential users.
