Il testo cerca di offrire una diagnosi nell’attuale società, ancora convenzionalmente definita postmoderna, in cui appaiono diverse forme dell’umanesimo. Questo termine è diventato recentemente molto attuale e discusso in diversi campi del sapere umano, ma soprattutto nella filosofia, nell’antropologia culturale, nelle scienze umane ecc. L’interesse dato alla tematica ha sollecitato perfino la ricerca del cosiddetto “nuovo umanesimo”. In effetti tale ricerca ha fatto nascere le diverse idee e impostazioni che saranno presentate qui, ovviamente senza alcuna pretesa di esaustività. I risultati raggiunti in questo lavoro, in seguito, diventeranno motivo di sviluppo della seconda parte nella quale si cercherà di fare una critica teologica alle diverse forme dell’umanesimo laico.

This article presents the one kind of diagnosis concerning a present state of postmodern civilization, in which there are manifold forms of humanism. The term humanism has become the subject of a great deal of interest in many areas of knowledge due to its deep and extensive social-anthropological changes. The search, especially in the area of philosophy, introduced the term “new humanism”. As a result, new trends, ideas, directions of thought emerged. The results presented here are not definitive and complete, but in the second part of this volume (Theological Forum (XVIII / 2017), is presented the theological criticism of the present radical forms of laity humanism.

La morte nel libro della Sapienza

The article analyzes the theme of death in the book of Wisdom, with particular attention to the relationship between Wisdom and death. After a general introduction to the theme of death and the concept of “second death”, the author analyzes the marriage metaphor, which occupies an important place in the second part of the book. The author proceeds with the analysis of vocabulary and images related to the marriage metaphor. Searching for a possible counter-metaphor, he indicates the image from Wis 1,16, where the relation of the wicked with death is described as a tragic denial of the ideals presented in Wis 8,16,17-18. The elements that link the two images and at the same time make them totally different are indicated. Pseudo-Solomon emphasizes the beauty of the relationship with Wisdom on the one hand and the drama of the sinners on the other, to conclude that the wicked, seeking to enter into a friendly relationship with death, get exactly the opposite of what the sage receives from the Wisdom in the II part of the Book of Wisdom.

L’articolo analizza il tema della morte nel libro della Sapienza, con particolare attenzione al rapporto tra la Sapienza stessa e la morte. Dopo un’introduzione generale, al tema della morte e ai problemi relativi al concetto di "seconda morte", l’autore analizza la metafora sponsale, che occupa un posto importante nella seconda parte del libro. Si procede con  l’analisi del vocabolario e delle immagini relative alla metafora sponsale. Cercando una possibile contro-metafora sponsale, si indica Sap 1,16, dove il rapporto degli empi con la morte viene descritto come tragica negazione degli ideali presentati in Sap 8,16.17-18. Vengono indicati elementi che collegano i due passaggi analizzati e le diametrali differenze. Lo Pseudo-Salomone sottolinea, da un lato, la bellezza del rapporto con la Sapienza e il dramma degli empi dall’altro, per giungere alla conclusione che gli empi, cercando di entrare in un rapporto amichevole con la morte, ottengono esattamente il contrario di ciò che riceve il saggio, nella II parte del libro.

Il testo si mette in continuità con la prima parte in cui è stato presentato l’attuale tentativo di formulare, nei tempi della crisi globale su diversi piani della vita sociale e individuale dell’uomo, un “nuovo umanesimo” del tutto laico e secolarizzato. In questa sede invece si cercherà di articolare ed esprimere la posizione dell’universo cristiano di fronte a tali proposte e mettere in risalto gli elementi vulnerabili e pericolosamente riduttivi dell’umanesimo puramente laico ed immanente alla luce della ragione e della fede. Inoltre si cercherà di aprire gli spazi ad una eventuale elaborazione di un “nuovo umanesimo cristiano”.
