Aquinas’ concept of change and its consequences for corporeal creatures

This paper is a presentation of Aquinas’ concept of change (lat. mutatio) and its consequences for corporeal creatures (lat. creatura corporali). Within Thomas’ philosophy, it can be proved that creatures are sentenced to unceasing change and cannot stop changing. That’s why the very purpose of change – full actualisation – is never attainable. Creatures are imperfect beings, and ex sui natura cannot attain perfection. Such a vision can lead to a conviction that the world of corporeal creatures is absurd. A short solution to the problem of absurdity is given with the use of Aquinas’ concept of participation. The structure of this paper is as follows. In the first section some basic limitations for the sake of this paper are made. In the second the concept of corporeal creatures is outlined. The third section analyses the definition of change. The fourth one presents various kinds of change. The next three are, respectively, proof of the creatures’ unceasing change, impossibility of full actualisation, and imperfection. The last one is an abbreviated presentation of the concept of participation as a reply to the question of the world’s absurdity.

Rynek systemów informatycznych należy do grupy rynków, w których występuje asymetria informacji zarówno wśród dostawców, jak i odbiorców. Dotychczasowe badania autora ukazały, że wysoki poziom asymetrii informacji wśród dostawców i odbiorców stanowi istotny czynnik wpływający na niższą skuteczność realizacji wdrożeń systemów informatycznych wspierających zarządzanie. Badania pozwalające wskazać metody redukcji wysokiego poziomu asymetrii informacji mogą przyczynić się do zmniejszenia liczby projektów informatycznych zakończonych całkowitym lub częściowym niepowodzeniem. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie rezultatów badań nad zagadnieniem asymetrii informacji wśród dostawców i odbiorców projektów informatycznych polegających na wdrożeniu aplikacji klasy ERP, CRM, DMS, BI i e-commerce. Badania dotyczyły kwestii asymetrii informacji na wszystkich etapach projektów informatycznych. Wyniki badań mogą być interesujące zarówno dla teoretyków zajmujących się tematyką realizacji projektów informatycznych, jak i praktyków w tej dziedzinie.

IT systems market belongs to the group of markets where imperfection in the access to information, both amongst customers and vendors, occurs. The major goal of this paper is to present research results concerning the issues of information asymmetry amongst customers and vendors of IT projects consisting in ERP, CRM, DMS, BI, e-commerce class application implementation. The research concerns information asymmetry on each stage of IT projects. Research results may be interesting for researchers specialising in the subject of IT project completion and for IT project practitioners.

Crise de l’amour, crise de l’écriture? Jean de Tinan à la recherche d’un traitement par les mots

This article presents the main personality traits of Jean de Tinan and characteristics of his writing which is the notation of emotional crisis suffered by this prematurely died writer of fin-de-siècle. His desperate quest for love connected with “impotence of loving” reflects in imperfections and hybridity of literary creation. Autofictive texts of this author (Un document sur l’impuissance d’aimer and especially Penses-tu réussir!) indicate the crisis of novel: composed of notes, pieces of prefaces and different text excerpts these texts are written in spontaneous style, often metadiscursive and discontinuous. However, behind the negligence about format and style lays sincere emotion. Tinan’s writing is kind of asylum for the ill man. By showing suffering, it gives him kind of alleviation. This article proposes the reflexion about compensable function of Tinan’s writing.

L’article présente les traits principaux de la personnalité de Jean de Tinan et de son écriture qui est l’inscription des crises sentimentales vécues par ce romancier fin-de-siècle mort prématurément. Sa recherche désespérée de l’amour conjuguée à « l’impuissance d’aimer » se reflète dans les imperfections et l’hybridité de sa création littéraire. Les textes autofictifs de Tinan, (Un document sur l’impuissance d’aimer et, plus particulièrement, Penses-tu réussir !) témoignent d’une crise du roman : composés de notes, bouts de préfaces et fragments divers, ils sont rédigés dans un style primesautier, souvent métadiscursif et discontinu à l’extrême. Cependant, derrière une négligence de la forme et du style se cache l’émotion sincère d’un mal-aimé. L’écriture de Tinan assure un refuge, voire une thérapeutique que s’est inventée un homme malade. Tout en étalant sa souffrance, celle-ci lui apporte du soulagement. L’article se propose de réfléchir sur la fonction compensatrice de l’écriture de Tinan.

The subject of the text is the analysis of evil in an ontic and moral sense. The essence of evil and where it comes from in different ways of understanding it presents a challenge to anyone who intends to focus on this problem. This does not mean, however, that it is incomprehensible. Evil is complex and permeates all areas of human existence, from language, through its thoughts, to the elusive negative force at work in the world. In fact, evil is immaterial because it is the lack of being. It is an element of imperfection that causes suffering. On the other hand, suffering that persists is the driving force of evil that lasts for many years. Evil is diverse and understood in many ways, therefore the aim of this text is to present its manifestations in general and to try to reflect on it.

Tematem tekstu jest analiza zła w sensie ontycznym i moralnym. Istota zła i to, skąd ono pochodzi ze względu na różne sposoby jego rozumienia, stanowi wyzwanie dla każdego, kto zamierza pochylić się nad tym zagadnieniem. Nie oznacza to jednak, że jest ono niepojmowalne. Zło jest złożone i przenika wszystkie obszary ludzkiej egzystencji, od języka, poprzez myśli, do nieuchwytnej negatywnej siły działającej w świecie. Zło w swej istocie jest nienamacalne, ponieważ stanowi pewien brak w sensie bytowym. Jest elementem niedoskonałości, który powoduje cierpienie. Z drugiej strony cierpienie, które nie przemija, jest siłą napędową zła, które trwa przez wiele lat.Zło jest różnorodne i rozumiane na wiele sposobów, dlatego celem tego tekstu jest ogólne przedstawienie jego przejawów i próba refleksji nad nim.
