This article aims to justify the need for establishing and maintaining in-house archives at non-public higher education institutions. Correctly organised Office work and properly maintained in-house archives represent an essential element of a modern management  style. The author provides an overview of basie legał acts regulating the operation of in-house archives at universities and demonstrates the need to employ competent personnel on a permanent basis to handle such archives.

Celem artykułu jest uzasadnienie konieczności tworzenia i funkcjonowania archiwów zakładowych w uczelniach niepublicznych. Prawidłowo zorganizowana praca kancelaryjna oraz właściwie prowadzone archiwum zakładowe stanowią obecnie niezbędny element nowoczesnego stylu zarządzania. Autor zestawia podstawowe akty prawne regulujące działalność uczelnianych archiwów zakładowych oraz wykazuje potrzebę zatrudnienia na stałe kompetentnego personelu archiwum.
