This article defines the main challenges in planning and organization of logistics processes in the sector of e-commerce. Also, was presented the most significant differences between logistics of e-commerce and logistics in traditional trade. In view of need to focus particular attention on customer in e-commerce, it has been proposed a set of indicators to monitor and evaluate effectiveness of logistics processes. Attention was also drawn to the need for advanced IT solutions for streamlining of logistics service e-commerce.

Niniejszy artykuł definiuje główne wyzwania w zakresie planowania i organizacji procesów logistycznych w sektorze handlu elektronicznego. Przedstawione zostały również najistotniejsze różnice pomiędzy logistyką e-commerce, a logistyką w handlu tradycyjnym. W związku z koniecznością koncentracji szczególnej uwagi na kliencie w handlu elektronicznym, zaproponowany został zestaw wskaźników umożliwiających monitorowanie i ocenę efektywności realizowanych procesów logistycznych. Zwrócono również uwagę na konieczność zastosowania zaawansowanych rozwiązań informatycznych dla usprawnienia obsługi logistycznej e-commerce.
