This article presents and analyzes the trust and distrust of adult Catholics in the institutional Church in Poland. The basis for this analysis are the results of sociological research and public opinion polls carried out in the second half of the 20th century and in both decades of the 21st century. A detailed presentation of this research and a sociological analysis of its results are the appropriate method of writing this article. The research problem here is a general question: Did adult Catholics in Poland, and to what extent, declare their trust in the institutional Church and its religious and social activity during the turn old the century, and what percentage of these Catholics declared distrust of the Church and its activity in the century? Sociological research and social surveys showed that the majority of adult Polish Catholics trusted the institutional Church and accepted its religious and social activity during this period. On the other hand, these studies also revealed a decrease in the 21st century, in relations to the 20th century, in the percentage of adult Catholics who so far trusted the institutional Church, and at the same time indicated a significant increase in the percentage of adult Catholics who declared distrust of the Church and they accepted his religious and social activity.

Artykuł ten prezentuje i analizuje zaufanie oraz nieufność dorosłych katolików do Kościoła instytucjonalnego w Polsce. Podstawę tej analizy stanowią wyniki badań socjologicznych i sondaży opinii społecznej, które zrealizowano w drugiej połowie XX wieku i w obu dekadach XXI wieku. Szczegółowa prezentacja tych badań i socjologiczna analiza ich wyników stanowiły właściwą metodę zredagowania tego artykułu. Problemem badawczym jest tu pytanie ogólne: Czy i w jakim zakresie badani katolicy dorośli w Polsce deklarowali w okresie przełomu wieków zaufanie do Kościoła instytucjonalnego i do jego aktywności religijno-społecznej, a jaki odsetek tych katolików deklarował nieufność do Kościoła i do tej jego aktywności w kraju? Badania socjologiczne i sondaże społeczne wykazały, że większość dorosłych katolików polskich ufała Kościołowi instytucjonalnemu i akceptowała jego aktywność religijną i społeczną w tym okresie. Z drugiej strony badania te ujawniły także zmniejszenie w XXI wieku, w relacji do XX wieku, odsetka tych katolików dorosłych, którzy ufali Kościołowi instytucjonalnemu, a zarazem wskazały na znaczny wzrost odsetka tych, którzy deklarowali nieufność do Kościoła i nie akceptowali jego aktywności religijnej i społecznej.

In the statements of Pope Francis and his meetings with LGBT+ people, one can see a new pastoral approach of the Church to these people. The publication presents the position of the pope towards non-heteronormative persons. Based on his teaching, the key stages of the process of their integration with the Roman Catholic Church are presented. The important role of theological and moral reflection in the reception, accompaniment, discernment and inclusion of LGBT + people into the community of faith was indicated. Finally, postulative conclusions were formulated to initiate the long-awaited integration process.

W wypowiedziach papieża Franciszka i jego spotkaniach z osobami LGBT+ można dostrzec nowe pastoralne podejście Kościoła rzymskokatolickiego do tych osób. W publikacji przedstawiono stanowisko papieża wobec osób nieheteronormatywnych. Na podstawie papieskiego nauczania zaprezentowano kluczowe etapy procesu ich integracji z Kościołem. Wskazano na istotną rolę refleksji teologiczno-moralnej w przyjęciu, towarzyszeniu, rozeznaniu oraz włączeniu osób LGBT+ do wspólnoty wiary. Na zakończenie sformułowano postulatywne wnioski, dotyczące zainicjowania procesu integracji przez Kościół hierarchiczny.
