The article examines the possibilities of applying an integrative approach for the description of Brauns’ zoo guide The most beautiful zoos and animal parks (1996). At the same time it discusses extralinguistic (sphere of functioning of the text, sender and recipient of the text, text function) and linguistic factors (complex of themes, topic structure of text segments, lexical items, grammatical structures, graphical means of highlighting). This text genre has not been an object of any text-linguistic study. The analysis has shown that the texts in question are based on the “whole-part” principle. In addition, the results revealed that the following stylistic devices were applied: contrast, highlighting and exemplifying.

The target of the scientific study is a theoretical-empirical analysis and interpretation of pedagogical experiences against the background of the world of values and in the context of the integrative approach and the complex system of educational processes. We seek to grasp the issue of the interpretation and integration in its complexity, concerning a close interconnection of both phenomena and with a focus on so far non-reflected deeper connections and perspectives. In this way, our reflection follows a line of the confrontation and connection of individual phenomena of arts and their application in the interpretation of an artistic text by pupils.

The article deals with the actual issues of forming professionally-oriented foreign language competence concerning the future engineers’ training. The article testifies the necessity of rendering future engineers with professionally-oriented foreign language training based on new engineering and technological approaches. The challenges of interdisciplinary studies of any area of economy cause enhanced intensive international collaboration and intercultural cooperation. It implies the improvement of professionally-oriented foreign language competence demand for the next generation of engineers and middle-line staffsince it is essential for interdisciplinary and international team work training. Considering the experimental results, it has been confirmed that professional foreign language competence is effectively developed within “Intensive integrative course of foreign language”, content and structure of which are based on an integrative approach and a set of suggested organisational principles. The article summarises the results of the direct observation and interviews.

In 2016, the South African Constitutional Court recognised that the guaranteed human right to the environment, as contained in the Constitution, includes animal welfare. In its judgment, the court stated that the suffering of individual animals is correctly linked to conservation and that this “illustrates the extent to which showing respect and concern for individual animals reinforces broader environmental protections. Animal welfare and animal conservation together reflect two intertwined values”. Although the effect of the statement by the highest court in the land is yet to be fully realised, the court unambiguously demonstrated in its ruling the clear link between human rights and animal interests. These interests are not only to be interpreted in the broad sense relating to species-conservation, but rather the interests and welfare of individual animals. Building on from this approach and the rationale provided by the court, this Paper looks to explore more broadly the interaction and linkages between human and animal rights and interests. More particularly, it attempts to illustrate how these concepts may reinforce and enrich one another and how this relationship may be better reflected in law and policy. It will argue that sophisticated democracies and movements require an integrational approach. By expanding the scope and interpretation of certain human rights to include animal interests; and through coordinated, targeted efforts – we ensure notion of justice is achieved, for all who require it.

National parks and protected areas can contribute significantly to the needs of poor people who live in and around them and depend heavily on forest resources for their subsistence. Especially for the rural poor who have limited economic options, use of national park resources are the main source for their survival, giving them direct benefits from food, medicine and forest products. National parks can contribute to maintaining the ecosystem and biodiversity conservation, along with the economic benefits to the local population. National parks and protected areas can play a significant role in climate change mitigation as well. Nevertheless, benefits from these areas are not well recognized in management especially in developing countries by incorporating them for climate change mitigation. Though usually more priority is given to conservation, improvement of livelihood and climate change mitigation can be achieved by integrating national parks into management and policy, and by consideration of the potential of human resources. Thus the integration can improve the poverty situation of local people and help them to adapt to climatic change mitigation strategies. Therefore, management of national parks and protected areas should ensure the participation of local communities and stakeholders.

The article discusses different approaches in the organization of the process of professional foreign language communicative training of the future software engineers. Aim of the studyconsists in the analysis of different approaches to the process of professional foreign language communicative training of the future software engineers with the purpose of identification of the most suitable ones and interpretation of their specific tasks and functions in the facilitation and successful completion of the described process. In the process of the article writing, the research methods of systemic approach, content analysis of pedagogical, psychological and methodological sources, literature review, generalization, classification and syntheses have been applied. The article provides the definition of the concept of pedagogical approach, identifies different types of pedagogical approaches, depicts their characteristics and functions as well as justifies their choice in the professional foreign language communicative training of the future software engineers. The article discusses four pedagogical approaches, which are of special value for the professional foreign language communicative training of students of technical majors. The integrative approach consists in the unity of contents of the learning subjects and interdependence of the shared pedagogical, methodological, didactical and specific principles, regularities, objectives and tasks of the learning process. The contextual approach emphasizes the importance of unity between the learning and professional components and takes into consideration peculiarities of both aspects in the education of students of technical majors. The interdisciplinary approach points to the necessity to conduct the described training within the boundaries of different disciplines. The systemic approach highlights the role of mental processes in learning and regards the educational process as the complex and holistic system. It is concluded that these four pedagogical approaches can highly benefit the professional foreign language communicative training of the future software engineers and contribute to its high productivity and efficiency. The further researches should focus on the investigation of ways of optimization and improvement of the framework of professional foreign language communicative training and implementation of innovative pedagogical technologies and approaches.
