The study presents two opinions about the events of 1920, especially about the Soviet offensive under the command of M. Tuchaczewski and the counter-attack near Wieprz prepared and commanded by Józef Piłsudski – from the point of view of the main characters, who fought in 1920, and presented two different points of view a few years later. A polemical clash, especially in the case of Piłsudski, proves a talent for writing.

W artykule ukazano dwa spojrzenia na wydarzenia 1920 roku, a w szczególności ofensywę bolszewików, dowodzoną przez Michaiła Tuchaczewskiego i kontruderzenie znad Wieprza, przygotowane i zrealizowane przez Józefa Piłsudskiego – z punktu widzenia głównych bohaterów dramatu, którzy walczyli nie tylko w 1920 roku, ale też przedstawili dwa odmienne punkty widzenia w kilka lat później. Polemiczne zderzenie, zwłaszcza ze strony Piłsudskiego, jest też świadectwem znakomitego pisarskiego kunsztu.
