The subject of this article are criminological and law aspects of crime against wild animals. The aim of the article is to show the greatest threats for species protected by national and international legal regulations. A significant part of the work was devoted to the issues of trade in endangered species of fauna and showing the scale of the phenomenon in statistical terms based on the data of the Polish Customs Service.

Przedmiotem artykułu są kryminologiczne oraz prawnokarne aspekty przestępczości wobec dzikich zwierząt. Celem tekstu jest ukazanie największych zagrożeń czyhających na gatunki chronione krajowymi oraz międzynarodowymi regulacjami prawnymi. Znaczna część pracy została poświęcona problematyce handlu zagrożonymi gatunkami fauny oraz ukazaniu skali zjawiska w ujęciu statystycznym na podstawie danych Krajowej Administracji Skarbowej (do 2017 r. – Służby Celnej).   The subject of this article are criminological and law aspects of crime against wild animals.
