Analizy dotyczące strategii funkcjonowania japońskich korporacji w świecie są przedmiotem wielu badań i analiz. Cechą charakterystyczną inwestycji japońskich jest przyciąganie w miejsce ich lokalizacji podwykonawców, a nawet konkurentów. Inwestorzy japońscy wysoko cenią także relacje tworzone z otoczeniem bliższym organizacji. Celem pracy jest ocena skuteczności strategii korporacji japońskich w gospodarce światowej. W pracy do badania skuteczności tych strategii wykorzystano taksonomię relatywną. W badaniach wykorzystano informacje publikowane przez UNCTAD w ramach rankingu „World Investment Report”. Analizowano dane z lat 2010-2013. Skuteczność strategii korporacji transnarodowych analizowano biorąc pod uwagę relacje występujące pomiędzy wartością aktywów zagranicznych a wartością sprzedaży za granicą tych korporacji.

Japan has been for many years one of the biggest investors in the world. Analyzes of the strategies of Japanese corporations in the world are subject to a lot of research and analysis. The purpose of the paper is to evaluate the effectiveness of Japanese corporate strategies in the global economy. In the study, the effectiveness of these strategies relative taxonomy was used. In the research the information published by UNCTAD was used. The relationship between the value of foreign assets and the value of sales abroad has been studied.
