Działania edukacyjne w polskich archiwach obecne są już od wielu dziesięcioleci. Funkcja edukacyjna archiwów nie jest jednak jeszcze dojrzała i ugruntowana. Popełnianych jest wiele błędów, formy edukacyjne nie spełniają wymogów dydaktycznych. Kształcenie uniwersyteckie archiwistów niemalże zupełnie pomija wyposażanie absolwentów w kompetencje w zakresie prowadzenia działań edukacyjnych. Edukacji w archiwach potrzeba pewnych bodźców, różnorakiej stymulacji, a także szeregu systemowych zmian. Jedną z nich jest wyodrębnienie się środowiska edukatorów ar chiwalnych przez integrację archiwistów zajmujących się tym obszarem aktywności archiwów i stworzenie platformy służącej wymianie doświadczeń i wiedzy o prowadzonych działaniach edukacyjnych oraz budowanie sieci współpracy. W tym celu powołano Forum Edukatorów Archiwalnych, organizację o charakterze niesformalizowanym, obywatelskim i otwartym, która ma być platformą wymiany doświadczeń, miejscem spotkań oferującym integrację i wsparcie, a także formą dokształcania zawodowego archiwistów zajmujących się edukacją.

Educational activity is present in Polish archives for decades. But the educational function of archives is not fully mature and established. Many mistakes are still being made, educational forms do not meet teaching requirements. University archival training almost completely omits equipping graduate students with competences in educational activity. Education in archives needs a spur, various stimulation, and a number of system changes. One of them is isolating a circle of archival educators through integration of archivists involved in this kind of archival activity and creating a platform that would serve to exchange experiences and knowledge of conducted teaching activities and building up a web of cooperation. With the aim of doing that, the Forum of Archival Educators was established, an informal, citizen and open organization, that is supposed to be a platform of exchanging experiences, a place of meeting, offering integration and support, as well as a form of additional professional training for archivists engaged in education.

The article presents the project „Inventory of «Kultura» Literary Institute Archives” as a base for methodological discussion on processing of the collection of manuscripts and mixed archives. There assumptions is proposed that of the complex catalogue of IKL combined with a plan for public presentation in one database in a unified description form and the „Inventory” itself should be a starting point for methodological dispute on several topics like the basis of a description, collection and unit frames, the idea of an unit, depth of description, catalogers’ freedom of decision, authority headings, but also on the information strategy of the institution’s collection management The article presents experiences of the mixed team of librarians and archivists as an assumption to proposal of extending the education of both professions with the flexibility to combine the librarian and archivist methodology in processing mixed archives. The Author also pointed out the perspective of including methodological experience of museum collections’ into discussed issues.

Realizacja projektu „Inwentarz Archiwum Instytutu Literackiego Kultura” została przedstawiona jako podstawa do rozważań metodycznych w zakresie opracowywania zbioru rękopisów i zbiorów mieszanych. Założenia kompleksowego katalogu zbiorów ILK wraz z planem udostępniania w jednej bazie danych w ujednoliconej formule opisu oraz uzyskany w ten sposób „Inwentarz”, powinny stać się punktem wyjścia do rozważań nad podstawą opisu, granicami zbioru i jednostki, pojęciem jednostki, głębokością opisu, swobodą decyzji katalogującego, kartotekami wzorcowymi, a także strategią informacyjną instytucji zarządzającej zbiorem. Doświadczenia z pracy mieszanego zespołu bibliotekarzy i archiwistów przedstawione zostały jako przyczynek do rozbudowania kształcenia obu specjalności o otwartość na łączenie metod opracowania bibliotecznego i archiwalnego w stosunku do zbiorów mieszanych. Wskazano także perspektywę dołączenia do tych rozważań doświadczeń metodycznych z zakresu opracowania zbiorów muzealnych.

The article presents the contemporary model of the archivist training in Poland within the framework of vocational education system. In accordance with the provisions of law, the technician profession can be attained in a two-year post-secondary school and after finishing qualifying professional courses. Core subjects implemented within the framework of theoretical and empirical vocational education which are the basis of the training were presented. The system of exams confirming the qualifications in archivist profession and the aims of vocational training in the context of dynamically changing needs of the labour and employers market are depicted. The factors determining the graduate's choice of post-secondary school and their choice of archives technician specialization were explained on the basis of own reasearch conducted in post-secondary schools in Lesser Poland region.
