The purpose of this article is to show the prospects of initiating the beatification proceedings of Fr Theodor Christoph under the canonization law in force. The work is based on: Apostolic Constitution Divinus perfectionis Magister of John Paul II, Normae servandae in inquisitionibus ab Episcopis faciendis in causis sanctorum of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints and Sanctorum Mater. Instruction for conducting diocesan or eparchial inquiries in the causes of saints. The article includes the opinion of holiness which is one of the most important affairs in the canonization process, the private cult and opinion of special grace as prerequisites enabling to initiate the beatification proceedings. The historical and current status of Fr Christoph’s case is taken into account in prospect of preparation for initiating of the beatification proceedings. Fr Christoph’s case has not yet been completed. The legal action to initiate beatification proceedings in Diocese of Gliwice has been not taken. This case is still in the phase of preparation. The documents gathered in the case are insufficient. The decision regarding the initiating of beatification proceedings for Fr Christoph’s belongs to the competent authority in the Church.

The living memory of the martyred Croatian priest of the diocese of Banja Luka, who was murdered, has survived for almost 80 years in Lower Silesia and Bosnia. His youngest parishioners, who knew him, whom he baptized, confessed and gave First Holy Communion, are still alive in the Legnica diocese. They listened constantly to the stories of their parents and grandparents about Rev. Anthony. Today their children and grandchildren tell their descendants born in the Boleslawiec district about “our parish priest,” who remained with his parishioners to the end and sacrificed his young life for God, the faith and the Polish parishioners of Gumjera. They organize memorial ceremonies, especially on the anniversaries of his birthday, name day and martyrdom. Their other initiatives are in the forms of Masses, exhibitions, paintings painted in his honour, pilgrimages to Gumjera, and taking care of his personal things, which are kept reverently as relics in the house built in his honour in Ocice. These actions are like an appeal to the Church in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Congregation for the Causes of Saints at the Vatican for the next steps in the process of the Servant of God Rev. Antoni Dujlović. Undoubtedly, these aspirations are also supported by the tormented Banja Luka Church, presided over by the beloved Bishop Franjo; Rev. Antoni could become a “bridge” connecting Croats and Serbs (having difficult relations), the Roman Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Croatia and Serbia. After beatification and inclusion of the Servant of God in the catalogue of “Saints and Blessed”, Rev. Antoni Dujlović would become an intercessor for the People of God, the particular Churches of the diocese of Banja Luka and the diocese of Legnica.

Żywa pamięć o zamordowanym chorwackim księdzu diecezji banialuckiej, męczenniku, przetrwała już prawie 80 lat na dolnośląskiej i bośniackiej ziemi. W diecezji legnickiej żyją jeszcze jego najmłodsi parafianie, którzy go znali, których chrzcił, spowiadał i udzielał im Pierwszej Komunii Świętej. Na temat ks. Antoniego słuchali nieustannie opowieści swych rodziców i dziadków. Dzisiaj ich dzieci i wnuki opowiadają swoim potomkom urodzonym w powiecie bolesławieckim o „naszym księdzu proboszczu”, który pozostał ze swoimi parafianami do końca i ofiarował swe młode życie za Boga, wiarę i polskich parafian z Gumjery. Organizują uroczystości upamiętniające szczególnie w rocznicę jego urodzin, imienin i męczeńskiej śmierci. Inne ich inicjatywy przejawiają się w Mszach Świętych, wystawach, obrazach malowanych na jego cześć, pielgrzymkach do Gumjery, dbaniu o rzeczy, które użytkował, które są przechowywane z czcią jako relikwie w wybudowanym domu na jego cześć w Ocicach. Przedsięwzięcia te są wołaniem do Kościoła w Bośni i Hercegowinie i Kongregacji Spraw Kanonizacyjnych w Watykanie o kolejne etapy procesu Sługi Bożego ks. Antoniego Dujlovicia. Niewątpliwie to dążenie jest też pragnieniem umęczonego Kościoła banialuckiego, któremu przewodniczy umiłowany biskup Franjo, bowiem ks. Antoni mógłby stać się „mostem łączącym” trudne relacje Chorwatów z Serbami, Kościoła rzymskokatolickiego z Cerkwią prawosławną w Bośni i Hercegowinie, Chorwacji i Serbii. Po beatyfikacji i wpisaniu Sługi Bożego do katalogu „Świętych i Błogosławionych” ks. Antoni Dujlović stałby się orędownikiem Ludu Bożego, Kościołów partykularnych diecezji banialuckiej i diecezji legnickiej.
