Word tęczowy in Polish. Meaning and expressive stability Adjective tęczowy is a wildcard, derived from the noun tęcza, which has sources in the Slavic language. With the development of Polish, the meanings of the tęczowy are increasing, especially expressive. Modern lexicographical sources do not record them all. A full picture in this area can be obtained by analyzing language corpora and any other sources, including verbal and graphic resources of the Internet. Some of the meanings of the discussed lexeme have no expressive character, others are a sign of emotions. Emotional value, however, depends not only on meaning, but it is also conditioned pragmatically. Certain meanings can be attributed to positive or negative expression – depending on who the text sender is.
