The publishing activity of Ruthenian typographies influenced religious and cultural development in the Metropolitanate of Kyiv. He was also favored by Michał Ślozka’s writing and publishing activity. Printed by him laudations for bishops involved in the spiritual and mental development of the Christian community (occasional compositions and letters of dedication) played a constructive role. Integrated the recipients of the books ( the faithful and the lower clergy) around the indicated guides. They strengthened the community’s sense of pride in the plan of the Eastern Church’s renewal, despite of many difficulties. They were, therefore, part of a wider tendency at that time to institutionally consolidate the Church.

This article was devoted to the scientific conference "One hundred years of Polish commercial law" and the ceremony of presenting Professor Andrzej Kidyba with the jubilee book on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of his scientific work. The ceremony was divided into two parts: the conference part and the jubilee celebrations. In the course of the conference papers were delivered by: prof. dr h.c. Józef Frąckowiak (University of Wrocław) - "The place of commercial law in the system of law and methods of its implementation", Prof. Wojciech Popiołek (University of Silesia in Katowice) - "Commercial law companies i.e. companies under the law which does not exist" and Prof. Dr. h.c. Bernd Oppermann (Dean of the Faculty of Law, Leibnitz Universität Hannover) - "Challenges of Commercial Law in a Comparative Perspective". The ceremony began with a laudation in honour of Prof. Andrzej Kidyba, delivered by Prof. Wojciech Katner, PhD, of the University of Łódź, who introduced the personality of the Jubilarian. The jubilee book entitled "One hundred years of Polish commercial law" was presented by its editors and the staff of the Chair of Economic and Commercial Law, Maria Curie- Skłodowska University in Lublin. After the presentation of the book the Jubilarian himself gave a speech entitled "My Alphabet - a little confession - not my will".

Niniejszy artykuł został poświęcony konferencji naukowej „Sto lat polskiego prawa handlowego” oraz uroczystości wręczenia Profesorowi dr. hab. Andrzejowi Kidybie księgi jubileuszowej, która została przygotowana z okazji 40-lecia jego pracy naukowej. Uroczystość była podzielona na dwie części: część konferencyjną, merytoryczną oraz na obchody jubileuszu. W trakcie konferencji referaty wygłosili: prof. dr hab. dr h. c. Józef Frąckowiak (Uniwersytet Wrocławski) - „Miejsce prawa handlowego w systemie prawa i metody jego realizacji”, prof. dr hab. Wojciech Popiołek (Uniwersytet Śląski w Katowicach) - „Spółki prawa handlowego, czyli spółki prawa, którego nie ma” oraz prof. dr hab. dr h. c. Bernd Oppermann (Dziekan Wydziału Prawa Uniwersytetu im. Leibnitza w Hanowerze) - „Wyzwania prawa handlowego w ujęciu porównawczym”. Ceremonię obchodów jubileuszu rozpoczęła laudacja na cześć prof. dr. hab. Andrzeja Kidyby, którą wygłosił prof. dr hab. Wojciech Katner z Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego, przybliżając sylwetkę Jubilata. Wręczenia prof. dr. hab. Andrzejowi Kidybie księgi jubileuszowej pt. „Sto lat polskiego prawa handlowego” dokonali jej redaktorzy wraz z pracownikami Katedry Prawa Gospodarczego i Handlowego Uniwersytetu Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej w Lublinie. Po wręczeniu księgi wystąpił sam Jubilat, który wygłosił mowę „Alfabet mój - trochę spowiedź - a nie testament mój”.

"Moeris. Eclogue in other words pastoral pride: education and rest of youth extols in front of His Royal Highness Stanisław August, the King of Poland, The Grand Duke of Lithuania, and in rural rhymes a Polyarchy", this is one of three idylls by Marcin Eysymont which were offered to Stanisław August. They were published in “Zabawy Przyjemne i Pożyteczne” ["Pleasant and Useful Games"] between 1774-1776. The work is a praise of king’s activities, who was stressing the need of youth’s education and upbringing in the spirit of good citizenship. At that time it was a very important but also a very difficult issue on account of the political situation after the first partition of the country. It is the context that is very important to interpret "Moeris" – the prototype, Virgil’s ninth eclogue from where the name of the main protagonist was taken and the theme – sorrow after the loss of land, depicted with the use of pastoral topoi.
