Systematyczny przegląd literatury: Na czym polega i czym różni się od innych przeglądów?

Thesis: Despite rapid progress in the field of systematic methods of scientific evidence management, knowledge of what is the systematic review of the literature and what we can use it for is not yet widespread in Poland. Discussed concepts: In this article we discuss what is a systematic review and what goals it realizes. We point out to the differences between systematic review and other methods. We also describe a typology of literature reviews discussing the location of systematic review in this typology. We also describe the advantages and limitations of the method of systematic review. Results and conclusions: A systematic review of the literature is a method of integrating the scientific evidence, which uses explicit methods for the identification, selection, critical evaluation and analysis of data from relevant studies qualified for the review. This method complements the limitations of traditional reviews based on unsystematic and implicit techniques of collection and compilation of studies, allowing demonstrations of reliable and credible scientific evidence in an objective manner. Originality: Article integrates actual knowledge about systematic reviews, allowing for recognition of their qualities and application. It can be a useful tool for scientists and for stake holders seeking answers to specific questions when disseminating results of scientific research.

Teza: Pomimo szybkiego postępu w dziedzinie systematycznych metod zarządzania dowodami naukowymi, wiedza o tym, czym jest systematyczny przegląd literatury i do czego służy, nie jest jeszcze rozpowszechniona w Polsce. Omówione koncepcje: W artykule omawiamy czym jest systematyczny przegląd literatury i jakie cele realizuje. Wskazujemy na różnice między systematycznym przeglądem a innymi metodami przeglądowymi. Przedstawiamy także typologię przeglądów literatury oraz umiejscowienie w tej typologii systematycznego przeglądu literatury. Prezentujemy także zalety i ograniczenia tej metody . Wyniki i wnioski: Systematyczny przegląd literatury to metoda integrowania dowodów naukowych, w której stosuje się jawne sposoby identyfikacji, selekcji, krytycznej oceny i analizy danych z istotnych badań zakwalifikowanych do przeglądu. Metoda ta uzupełnia ograniczenia tradycyjnych przeglądów opartych na niesystematycznych i niejawnych technikach zbierania i opracowywania danych z badań, umożliwiając prezentację rzetelnych i wiarygodnych dowodów naukowych w sposób obiektywny. Oryginalność: Artykuł integruje współczesną wiedzę o przeglądach systematycznych, pozwala rozpoznać ich walory i zastosowania. Może być użytecznym narzędziem dla naukowców oraz dla decydentów poszukujących odpowiedzi na pytania na etapie upowszechniania wyników badań naukowych.
