Celem artykułu jest prezentacja wybranych projektów rewitalizacji przestrzeni publicznej miasta Tychy. Poprzedzona została krótkim odwołaniem do najnowszej historii rozwoju tego miasta, na której odcisnął piętno socjalizm i jego dążenie do budowania miast zgodnie z ówczesną ideologią, opierającą się na wszechobecnym planie. W ten sposób autor starał się ukazać specyfikę tyskiej przestrzeni, której eklektyczność wymagała indywidualnego podejścia i staranności w opracowaniu oraz stopniowym wdrażaniu założeń lokalnego programu rewitalizacji.

The purpose of this article is to present some public space revitalization projects in Tychy. Was preceded by a brief reference to the recent history of the development of this city, which has left its mark important socialism and his desire to build cities under the then ideology based on the ubiquitous plan. In this way, tried to show the specificity of Tychy which eclecticism require an individual approach and attention to work on the development and gradual implementation of the objectives of local revitalization program.
