Przedmiotem zainteresowania autorów były kompetencje mene-dżerów samorządowych i ich rola w efektywniejszej realizacji zadań publicznych. The objective of the paper is to present the competences of local self-government managers and their role in the more effective completion of public tasks. The requirements for managers pursuing the tasks are presented as well as the examination of how the legislator assesses the managers in relation to the regulations determining the eligibility requirements for self-government employees. The paper concludes with de lege ferenda postulates.
