The aim of the article is to discuss the opinion-forming journalistic genres which appeared in the Lodz magazine "Teatr Lalek" in the years 1982–2002. The publication consists of two parts. In the first one the history of the magazine and its content were discussed, in the second one present the analysis of article, polemic and a review. The task of the article is also to determine what functions are performed in the magazin by selected journalistic genres.

Celem artykułu jest omówienie opiniotwórczych gatunków dziennikarskich, które pojawiały się na łamach łódzkiego magazynu „Teatr Lalek” w latach 1982–2002. Publikacja składa się z dwóch części. W pierwszej z nich omówiono historię tego periodyku i jego zawartość, w drugiej analizie poddano artykuł wstępny, artykuł publicystyczny, polemikę i recenzję. Zadaniem, jakie sobie postawiono, jest też określenie, jakie funkcje pełniły w piśmie wybrane gatunki dziennikarskie.

The aim of the article is to determine which factors contribute to the popularity of the “Kronika Miasta Łodzi” outside Poland in 2015. The publication is divided into two parts. The first one is characteristics of the magazine and shows its history. The second is an attempt to identify factors which influence on the popularity of this periodical. The cognitive and pragmatic aspects of the journalistic discourse were used for this purpose. Subject of the study are profiles and popular science articles which are an integral and most representative part of every edition of “Kronika”.

Celem artykułu jest ustalenie, jakie czynniki przyczyniły się do popularności „Kroniki Miasta Łodzi” poza Polską w 2015 roku. Publikacja dzieli się na dwie części. W pierwszej dokonano charakterystyki ww. tytułu prasowego oraz przybliżono jego historię. Druga jest próbą wskazania czynników, które wpływają na popularność periodyku. W tym celu posłużono się aspektem poznawczym oraz pragmatycznym wypowiedzi dziennikarskiej. Badaniu poddano sylwetki i artykuły popularnonaukowe, które są integralną i najbardziej reprezentatywną częścią każdego wydania „Kroniki”.
