Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie długookresowych obserwowanych i prognozowanych zmian liczby osób w wieku 90 lat i więcej w Polsce. Wyjaśniono przyczyny zachodzących zmian z perspektywy uwarunkowań demograficznych. Wskazano wyłaniające się z przedstawionych przemian wyzwania dla sfery usług opiekuńczo-pielęgnacyjnych.

This article aims to present the long-term observed and projected changes in the number of people aged 90 and over in Poland. An explanation of the causes of these changes is provided from the perspective of demographic factors. Emerging challenges for the care and nursing 13-32services sector resulting from these transformations are highlighted.
