Współcześnie następują dynamiczne przemiany społeczne, gospodarcze i polityczne. Przemiany te warunkują tworzenie się nowego modelu funkcjonowania małżeństw i rodziny. Rodzina współczesna przeżywa wielostronne sytuacje kryzysowe. Osłabiona kondycja rodziny nie powoduje jej zaniku, gdyż większość badanej młodzieży wybiera małżeństwo i rodzinę w swych przyszłych planach życiowych. Niewielka część młodzieży preferuje w przyszłości funkcjonowanie w konkubinacie bądź innych związkach alternatywnych.

Nowadays we witness dynamic social, economic and political transformations. Those changes influence formation of the new model of marriage and family functioning. Modern family experiences multiple crisis situations. Weaken condition of family does not induce its disappearance because majority of researched youth choose marriage and family in their future plans. Minor part of youth prefers functioning in alternative types of relationship in the future.
