The audited company is good example illustrating the development of a system of company's controlling during the economic transition. The controlling system presented in this paper based on the example of ABC company gives a positive picture of the effects of the implementation of the tasks of controlling in the organization. Cost centers created (within a company) resulted in interest from the management level on the cost of individual organizational units. Furthemore, the analysis of the case study of the company presented in this paper found that the most frequently chosen area where a concentration of controlling activities occurs, are issues related to the costs and finances of a company, what proves the construction of the system in a reliable way, which provides information about the real results of the company as a whole and by its specific organizational units.

An important role in an organization is played by the management information system that enables managers to perform management tasks. The pillar of this system is financial and non-financial data provided by the management accounting system. The effect of the application of specific management accounting tools are various types of studies and analyses, defined in internal reports, which are the basis for management, and thus making decisions by managers. Internal reports, in order to fulfil their functions effectively, must have appropriate features as to its structure, content and other properties. In connection with this, the authors studied and presented an assessment of managers from Poland and Romania in the context of such properties of internal reports as quality, content, presentation and comments. The survey method was used as the research method, while the analysis of collected research material was based on cluster analysis and descriptive statistics. The sample consisted of 154 questionnaires. The findings are similar in both countries, although in the case of Romania, managers who assessed highly the quality and content of internal reports, and evaluated slightly lower the presentations and comments.

Ryzyko koncentracji, jako jeden z aspektów ryzyka kredytowego – uznawanego powszechnie za najbardziej istotne spośród ryzyk identyfikowanych w działalności banku – w opinii autora winno stanowić szczególny element bankowej informacji zarządczej. Materializacja wynikającego z koncentracji zaangażowań oraz powiązań między kredytobiorcami ryzyka kredytowego (opóźnienia w spłacie) w znaczący sposób może wpłynąć na wynik finansowy banku, zagrażając w konsekwencji jego wypłacalności. W artykule dokonano analizy wpływu ryzyka koncentracji kredytowej na wynik finansowy banku, akcentując znaczenie informacji zarządczej w procesie zarządzania przedmiotowym ryzykiem. Pierwsza, teoretyczna część opracowania skupia się na opisie ryzyka koncentracji kredytowej oraz charakterystyce systemu informacji zarządczej. Omawiane są m.in.: definicja, cele strategiczne i podstawowe elementy systemu zarządzania ryzykiem koncentracji oraz podstawowe założenia systemu informacji zarządczej. Część empiryczna ukazuje natomiast skutki – w postaci wpływu na wynik finansowy banku przeklasyfikowania do grupy kredytów zagrożonych ekspozycji kredytowych, w tym wobec podmiotów powiązanych. W efekcie prowadzonych rozważań przedstawiony zostaje potencjalny wpływ wymaganych do utworzenia rezerw celowych na wynik finansowy poddanego analizie banku.

The concentration risk, as a one of the aspect of credit risk, which is commonly the most important identified risk in banking activity, in opinion of author should be an especially element of banking information management. Materialisation of credit risk (witch mines delays in loan repayment) in a significant way can be affect the bank’s financial result. Consequently, it threatens the bank’s operations. The article analyzes influence of credit concentration risk on the bank’s financial results, emphasizing the importance meaning of management information in process of objective risk management. The first theoretical part of the article focuses on specification of management information system and on credit concentration risk. This part shows strategic and primary elements of concentration risk management and additionally covers definition of management information system and it’s basics assumptions. In the practical part author explains credits quality influences (through reserves) on financial result. All of the conclusions are based on selected data of one of the cooperative banks.
