Folk Art and Craft as Cultural Heritage. Ethnological Perspective and Practice on an Example of Slovakia

The study follows the transformations in ethnologists’ understanding of cultural heritage in relation to folk culture. The text also refers to how their work changed in practical everyday life in Slovakia. The focus is on examples from the realm of tangible culture, traditions in handicrafts and visual art, their consumers and creators who have been termed “folk creators” to date. The contribution briefly describes the major features of the traditions at the time of their flourishing (from the 19th century until the first half of the 20th century) and their gradual decline and transformation (from the second half of the 20th century until now). The text calls attention to how the group and the particularity of consumers has changed and the regional differences in manufacture traditions have been removed; on the other hand, it highlights the ever stronger current efforts to revitalize the traditions in the name of the safeguarding of cultural heritage. The author also pays attention to the role the institutions, namely the state-funded Centre for Folk Arts and Crafts, play in the adjustment of parameters in relation to the use of folk production heritage. On empiric examples from the present, the text describes the differences in approaches and ways of treating the local inventory of local manufacture and visual traditions. The contribution closes with an article devoted to the discourse about the task of ethnology.

The article reviews technologies of applying PCM in the manufacture of intelligent protective fabrics and possibilities of evaluation their performance. The study noted that the technologies of fibres, coating as well as lamination are included to the most important technologies for the use of phase-change materials in manufacturing smart protective fabrics. In addition, it was found that the effective evaluation of the performance of fabrics containing phase-change material can be performed using thermal regulation capacity, thermal psychosensory intensity and thermal insulation indicators.

W artykule dokonano przeglądu technologii zastosowania materiałów zmiennofazowych w wytwarzaniu inteligentnych tkanin ochronnych oraz możliwości oceny ich wydajności. W opracowaniu zauważono, że technologia włókien, powlekanie oraz laminowanie należą do najważniejszych technologii wykorzystania materiałów PCM do wytwarzania inteligentnych tkanin ochronnych. Ponadto, stwierdzono, że efektywna ocena wydajności tkanin zawierających materiał zmiennofazowy może zostać wykonana za pomocą wskaźników zdolności regulacji termicznej, termicznego natężenia psychosensorycznego oraz statycznej izolacji termicznej.

The principles of conducting clinical trials, the marketing authorization procedure, manufacturing, importing, advertising and marketing of veterinary medicinal products are often secondary subjects of interest of pharmaceutical law doctrine’s representatives. It is difficult to criticize it, because of the priority importance of patients’ protection and the significant similarity of relevant regulations to regulations governing the functioning of the market of medicines for people. However, this problem should not be ignored. Medicines used in veterinary medicine may pose a threat not only to animals, but also to people applying them, consumers of food of animal origin and the environment. The aim of the article is to research mentioned matter in this context, taking into account the requirement of conciseness of the legal text. The following methods were used: dogmatic, axiological and comparative.

Zasady prowadzenia badań klinicznych, postępowania w sprawie dopuszczenia do obrotu, wytwarzania, importu, reklamy i obrotu weterynaryjnymi produktami leczniczymi często stanowią drugorzędny przedmiot zainteresowania przedstawicieli doktryny prawa farmaceutycznego. Trudno to krytykować ze względu na priorytetowe znaczenie ochrony życia i zdrowia pacjentów oraz znaczne podobieństwo stosownych unormowań do przepisów regulujących funkcjonowanie rynku leków przeznaczonych dla ludzi. Problematyki owej nie należy jednak pomijać. Medykamenty stosowane w weterynarii mogą zagrażać nie tylko zwierzętom, ale i aplikujących je osobom, konsumentom żywności pochodzenia zwierzęcego oraz środowisku naturalnemu. Celem artykułu jest zbadanie wybranej materii w tym kontekście z uwzględnieniem postulatu zwięzłości tekstu prawnego. Wykorzystano w związku z tym metody: dogmatyczną, aksjologiczną i prawno-porównawczą.
