Innowacyjność w dobie postępujących procesów globalizacyjnych i rewolucji informatyczno-komunikacyjnej to niezbędny warunek utrzymania konkurencyjności przedsiębiorstw. Usługi medyczne stanowiąc nieodłączny element życia społeczno-gospodarczego muszą być odpowiedzią na trendy zmian spowodowanych globalizacją, wzrostem świadomości klientów oraz presją konkurencyjną. Procesy te wymuszają na placówkach medycznych w Polsce ciągłe poszukiwanie nowych rozwiązań na rynku usług medycznych, otwierając tym samym nowe możliwości świadczenia tych usług. Celem rozważań opartych na studiach literatury krajowej i zagranicznej jest przedstawienie wpływu innowacji technologicznych na rozwój rynku usług medycznych w Polsce.

Innovativeness in the epoch of ongoing globalisation processes and ITC revolution is a prerequisite of retention of enterprises’ competitiveness. Medical services, being an inseparable element of the socioeconomic life, must be an answer to the trends of changes caused by globalisation, growth of customers’ awareness and the competitive pressure. These processes compel medical establishments in Poland to constantly seek for new solutions in the market for medical services, thus opening new possibilities to provide these services. An aim of the considerations based on the studies of Polish and foreign literature is to present the impact of technological innovativeness on the development of the medical services in Poland.
