This article is dedicated to the McDonaldization and its impact on the functioning of pharmacies. More and more retail chains are introducing their own brands. The same can be seen in pharmacies. Progressive dehumanization is the cause of the changing nature of pharmacy. McDonaldization is the reason for changing the names of overthe- counter drugs and other products available at the pharmacy.

Tento článek je věnován mcdonaldizaci a jejímu dopadu na fungování lékáren. Stále více maloobchodních řetězců zavádí své vlastní značky. S týmž jevem se lze setkat i v lékárnách. Progresivní dehumanizace je příčinou měnícího se charakteru lékárny. Mcdonaldizace vede ke změně názvů léků bez lékařského předpisu a jiných výrobků dostupných v lékárně.
