The content of this article concerns the broadly understood philosophical and theoretical foundations of contemporary pedagogical thought, more specifically the importance of metatheoretical research in the practice of modern pedagogy. The article cites arguments regarding the importance of the effects of metatheoretical research for the formation of methodological awareness of pedagogues and examples of research projects that make the above relationship a reality.
