The article tries to briefly explain the reasons behind advocating the Project method of learning in teaching Polish as a second language at Polish Saturday schools in the United Kingdom. It aims at introducing the project method and its main principles to the readers. Lastly, it provides some of the ideas of classroom usage of the above-mentioned method.

Artykuł przedstawia główne powody świadczące o wartości metody projektu w nauczaniu języka polskiego jako drugiego w polskich szkołach sobotnich (PSS) w Wielkiej Brytanii. Praca stawia sobie za cel przybliżenie czytelnikom podstawowych zasad pracy za pomocą metody projektu oraz przedstawienie zadań i inspiracji projektowych do wykorzystania w PSS.
