Boleslaus V (1453–1488) was the son of Boleslaus IV and Kiev princess Barbara Olelkovna. In 1471–1488 he ruled Warsaw and Nur lands, and in 1471–1484, Zakroczym land. Rule of Boleslaus V is viewed negatively. Increasingly frequent sales and pledging of land has led to diminishment of ducal demesne in Warsaw, Zakroczym and Nur lands as well as sale of Błonie, Tarczyn and Kamieniec counties. Lack of money and financial problems with repayment of debts has led to Boleslaus V becoming dependent not only on his brothers – Konrad III and Janusz II of Płock, but also on wealthy nobles and Warsaw patricians. In 1477 the duke married Anna Radzanowska, whom he soon abandoned. He died on 27 April 1488. He was buried on 12 May 1488 in St John collegiate church in Warsaw

Bolesław V (1453–1488) był synem Bolesława IV i księżniczki kijowskiej Barbary Olelkówny. W latach 1471–1488 sprawował rządy w ziemi warszawskiej i nurskiej, a w latach 1471–1484 w ziemi zakroczymskiej. Rządy Bolesława V są oceniane negatywnie. Nasilająca się sprzedaż i zastawianie dóbr doprowadziło do uszczuplenia domeny książęcej w ziemi warszawskiej, zakroczymskiej i nurskiej oraz sprzedaży powiatów: błońskiego, tarczyńskiego i kamienieckiego. Brak pieniędzy i trudności finansowe ze spłatą długów spowodowało nie tylko uzależnienie Bolesława V od jego braci – Konrada III i Janusza II, ale też od zamożnej szlachty i patrycjuszy warszawskich. W 1477 r. książę poślubił Annę Radzanowską, którą w krótce porzucił. Zmarł 27 IV 1488 r. Został pochowany 12 V 1488 r. w kolegiacie św. Jana Chrzciciela w Warszawie
