In the paper there are analyzed international legal documents related to disabled persons’ rights (especially there are presented legal aspects related to disabled girls’ and women’s situation). There are discussed legal guarantees related to the improvement of the access to different spheres of social functioning – that are the guarantees aimed at the social marginalization and exclusion prevention. Moreover there are analyzed the EU documents shaping the EU policy related to the disabled women’s situation. There is presented the legislation’s and legal protection’s role in the shaping disabled women’s social participation and providing them better life quality. The attention is also focused at the obstacles hindering them making use of their rights.

W artykule poddano analizie międzynarodowe dokumenty prawne zawierające prawa osób niepełnosprawnych , szczególnie te uwzględniające sytuację dziewcząt i kobiet niepełnosprawnych. Omówiono przyznane im gwarancje prawne w dostępie do różnych sfer społecznego funkcjonowania, mające na celu przeciwdziałanie ich marginalizacji i wykluczeniu społecznemu. Ponadto omówiono dokumenty UE kształtujące politykę w państwach Unii wobec niepełnosprawnych kobiet. Ukazano rolę ustawodawstwa i ochrony prawnej w kształtowaniu partycypacji społecznej kobiet niepełnosprawnych i zapewnieniu im lepszej jakości życia. Zwrócono uwagę na przeszkody utrudniające im korzystanie z przysługujących praw.
