Opracowanie poświęcone jest prezentacji kwestii prosumenta na rynku energii. Głównym celem opracowania jest przedsta¬wienie prosumenta na rynku konsumenckim oraz wpływ na zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa energetycznego i ciągłości dostaw, ale również z powodu konieczności realizacji założeń unijnych dyrektyw, kładących szczególny nacisk na efek¬tywność energetyczną i odnawialne źródła energii. Autor skupia się na odpowiedzi na pytanie czy prosument na rynku energii będzie się rozwijał w najbliższym czasie? W celu odpowiedzi na postawione pytanie autor dokonał analizy prosumenta na rynku energii, a także wskazał zalety i potencjał rozwoju prosumenta na rynku energetycznym. Implikacjami praktycznymi przeprowadzonej analizy teoretycznej jest wskazanie na rozwój prosumenta na rynku energetycznym.

Prosumer market development is beneficial not only because of the possibility of providing energy security and continuity of supply, but also because of the need to achieve the objectives of the EU directives, with specific emphasis on energy efficiency and renewable energy sources. Prosumer market development is largely also linked to the role of the consumer. People need to see the benefits of being a prosumer. It is not only greater economic efficiency of its own production of energy, but also environmental responsibility. Energy produced by the producers-consumers are more friendly to the environment. It does not destroy the environment in so far as they do large energy companies. Its development depends to a large extent on changes in public awareness for greater environmental responsibility. Although it is a long process, should take action to change it. Also important for the development of prosumer energy are political considerations. Despite the political program dissemination of distributed energy, you cannot see the will to act in the direction of the largest political parties in Poland. To work in this field effectively, it is necessary involvement of local authorities and local governments, correlating the government's strategy of investment plans of municipalities, adapting the necessary legislation to improve monitoring systems, addressing issues related to financing. In the context of the development of the prosumer market it is important to the restructuring of infrastructure, expansion of transmission networks and adapt them to the current needs of customers in rural areas, as well as monitoring local power demand. It is extremely important that governments take into account in their investment priorities energy. It should lead to a bond investment plans of municipalities and energy companies. Further emphasis is on the main development of traditional energy. Decisions concern the extension of the current production base of energy or construction of new large power plants. While investments in the dissemination of distributed energy remain in the realm of design.
