Największa liczba typowych bibliotecznych rękopisów średniowiecznych przechowywana jest w zbiorach Biblioteki Uniwersyteckiej w Toruniu. Wszystkie one trafiły tu po zakończeniu II wojny światowej, przede wszystkim w latach 1945-1947, gdzie w bibliotece umieszczono je wśród tzw. „zbiorów zabezpieczonych”. Obecnie w skład tego zbioru wchodzi 770 jednostek inwentarzowych oraz 6 metrów bieżących materiałów nie zinwentaryzowanych. Dzisiejszą kolekcję 71 średniowiecznych rękopisów Biblioteki UMK tworzą przede wszystkim dawne zbiory Państwowej i Uniwersyteckiej Biblioteki w Królewcu. Obejmują one dzieła religijne, prawnicze, teksty historyczne, medyczne i astronomiczne. Kolejną biblioteką toruńską, w której przechowywane są rękopisy średniowieczne jest Wojewódzka Biblioteka Publiczna-Książnica Kopernikańska w Toruniu. W jej zbiorach zachowało się w sumie 19 rękopisów (m.in. kalendarze, modlitewniki, żywoty świętych) z tego okresu (do 1500 r.), zapisanych po łacinie, niemiecku i w języku greckim. Spora liczba średniowiecznych ksiąg urzędowych wytworzonych w kancelarii Starego i Nowego Miasta Torunia przechowywana jest również w zasobie Archiwum Państwowego w Toruniu. Wśród nich są także rękopisy o charakterze zbliżonym do bibliotecznych.

The highest number of typical library medieval manuscripts may be found in the collections of the University Library in Toruń. All the manuscripts were brought there after the end of WW II, mostly in the years 1945-1947, and were placed among the so-called “protected collections”. Currently the collection consists of 770 inventory units and 6 linear metres of uncatalogued material. Today’s collection of 71 medieval manuscripts of NCU library constitute mainly old collections of the State and University Library in Königsberg. They comprise religious works, legal works, and historical, medical and astronomical texts. Another library which stores medieval manuscripts is Copernicus Voivodeship Public Library in Toruń. Its collections consists of 19 manuscripts (e.g. calendars, prayer books, the lives of the saints) from the period until 1500, written in Latin, German and Greek. A considerable number of medieval official books generated in the office files of the Old and the New Towns of Toruń are kept in the State Archive in Toruń. The collection includes also manuscripts similar to those found in the library.

Die größte Anzahl typischer mittelalterlicher Bibliothekshandschriften wird in den Beständen der Universitätsbibliothek in Toruń (Thorn) aufbewahrt. Sie alle kamen nach Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs dorthin, vor allem in den Jahren 1945-1947, als sie in der Bibliothek den sog. "sichergestellten Beständen" zugeordnet wurden. Heute gehören 770 Inventareinheiten sowie 6 laufende Meter nicht inventarisierter Materialien zu diesen Beständen. Die heutige Sammlung von 71 mittelalterlichen Handschriften der Bibliothek der Nikolaus-Kopernikus-Universität besteht vor allem aus den früheren Beständen der Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek zu Königsberg. Sie umfassen religiöse und juristische Werke sowie geschichtliche, medizinische und astronomische Texte. Eine weitere Thorner Bibliothek, in der mittelalterliche Handschriften aufbewahrt werden, ist die Öffentliche Woiwodschaftsbibliothek – Kopernikus-Bücherei in Toruń. In ihren Beständen sind insgesamt 19 Handschriften (u.a. Kalender, Gebetbücher, Hagiographien) aus dieser Zeit (bis 1500) erhalten geblieben, die in lateinischer, deutscher und griechischer Sprache geschrieben sind. Eine beträchtliche Anzahl mittelalterlicher Amtsbücher, die in der Thorner Alt- und Neustadt erstellt worden waren, wird ebenfalls in den Beständen des Staatsarchivs in Toruń aufbewahrt. Darunter sind auch Handschriften von bibliotheksähnlichem Charakter.
