Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie zagadnień związanych z tematyką mobile commerce. Przedstawiono główne przyczyny wzrostu popularności m-commerce, do których należą: moda na multimedialne telefony, powszechne wykorzystanie serwisów społecznościowych oraz spadek cen bezprzewodowego Internetu. Dużo miejsca poświęcono zastosowaniu urządzeń mobilnych na poszczególnych etapach procesu zakupu. Smartfony oraz tablety są wykorzystywane przede wszystkim do wyszukiwania informacji o produktach i porównywania ich cen. Jednakże samo sfinalizowanie transakcji oraz dokonanie płatności wykonywane jest zazwyczaj na komputerze. W artykule opisano sposób wykorzystania urządzeń mobilnych w Polsce. Omówiono też poziom zainteresowania krajowych użytkowników stosowaniem smartfonów i tabletów w procesie zaku-pu. Ostatnia część tekstu dotyczy porównania sposobu wykorzystania urządzeń mobilnych w procesie zakupu w Polsce i w innych krajach. Rezultaty wskazują na brak większych różnic pomiędzy Polską a krajami ościennymi, takimi jak Czechy czy Rosja. Gorzej wypada nasz kraj na tle państw posiadających dłuższą tradycję zakupów elektronicznych i większy odsetek użytkowników smartfonów i tabletów. Zwrócono też uwagę na niską świadomość zagrożeń związanych z zakupami z wykorzystaniem urządzeń mobilnych.

The paper aims at analysing mobile commerce issue. The main reasons of m-commerce pop-ularity growth are presented: mobile phones are currently in vogue, social media services are becoming increasingly common, costs of wireless Internet are diminishing. A lot of place is devoted to discussing the ways of mobile devices use, especially during different phases of purchase processes. Smartphones and tablets are exploited mainly in the research and price comparison phases. Internet purchases made directly from mobile device as well as mobile payments are still rarity because the buyers prefer to use their PC and notebooks for these purposes. An important part of the paper is devoted to discussing the level of mobile devices use in Poland and the most common activities they are used for, including products research and the price comparison. The last section of the paper is focused on the comparison of situation of mobile commerce in Poland and in other countries. There aren’t significant differences between Poland and neighbouring countries like Russia or Czech Republic. However in comparison with countries that have longer tradition of e commerce, our country comes out much worst.

Rynek aplikacji mobilnych dla najmłodszych rośnie w bardzo szybkim tempie. Aby wykorzystywane do zabawy aplikacje były dla dziecka bezpieczne i stymulujące jego rozwój, powinny spełniać określone kryteria. Niestety wyszukiwanie aplikacji dla dzieci utrudnia nie tylko ogrom dostępnego oprogramowania. Dzięki przeprowadzonym badaniom jakościowym z udziałem rodziców małych dzieci (w wieku 2–6 lat) udało się zidentyfikować liczne trudności i obawy rodziców usiłujących znaleźć odpowiednie aplikacje. Te wyniki wykorzystano uwzględnione przy przygotowaniu katalogu Best-App, ułatwiającego dostęp do bezpiecznych aplikacji.

The market for mobile apps for small children has been growing rapidly. In order not to harm but to stimulate child’s development, applications should meet certain criteria. However, searching for the applications for children could be difficult not only because of enormous amount of available software, but also for other reasons. Thanks to the qualitative research conducted with parents of small children (aged 2–6) it was possible to identify many problems and concerns of parents who search for appropriate applications. These results were taken into account during the preparation of the Best App catalog which makes it easier to access safe applications for children.
