W artykule omawia się dwie najczęściej stosowane metody oceny możliwości spłaty zobowiązań potencjalnych kredytobiorców stosowane w bankach. Są nimi metody credit-scoring oraz ratingowania podmiotów. Wskazuje się na pozytywne, jak i negatywne aspekty tych dwóch metod. W części empirycznej odniesiono ich zastosowanie do konkretnego przykładu, opierając się na jego danych finansowych.

The article discusses the two most commonly applied methods of assessing the potential repayment capacity of potential loan borrowers used in banks, such as credit-scoring and entities rating. Positive and negative aspects of these two methods are indicated. In the empirical part, their application is referred to a specific example based on its financial data.
