Today, the topic of Polish architecture after 1945 was analyzed and attempted to define. Flagship and recognizable examples of modernist buildings are known and protected because of both very good examination and a number of popularization actions. However, many examples of mature modernist architecture have still not been documented and its creators have been commemorated. The aim of the article is to present the silhouette of a versatile architect and artist Włodzimierz Ściegienny, who skillfully combined and used the strengths of the artist and architect. Here the three most famous projects will be presented, in which architecture and art form a coherent relationship

Współcześnie temat polskiej architektury po 1945 roku doczekał się analizy i próby zdefiniowania. Flagowe przykłady modernistycznej zabudowy są rozpoznawalne i chronione zarówno z powodu bardzo dobrego ich zbadania, jak i szeregu akcji popularyzatorskich. Jednak wiele przykładów dojrzałej modernistycznej architektury nie doczekało się udokumentowania, a jej twórcy upamiętnienia. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie sylwetki wszechstronnego architekta i artysty Włodzimierza Ściegiennego, który umiejętnie łączył i wykorzystywał atuty artysty plastyka i architekta. Zaprezentowane zostaną trzy najbardziej znane projekty Ściegiennego, zrealizowane w Częstochowie, w których architektura i sztuka tworzą spójną relację.
