In the Coptic Orthodox Church the pneumatological and reconciliation meaning of the confirmation is emphasized. The pneumatological-reconciliation aspect of confirmation points to the ontological supplement which occurs during the administering the initiation sacraments. The Coptic theology of the sacrament of confirmation with its pneumatological-reconciliation meaning may be a creative impulse for the catholic theology and for the whole western Christianity be an inspiration in extending the theological horizons, discovering new aspects in sacramentology and ecclesiology.

W Ortodoksyjnym Kościele Koptyjskim podkreśla się pneumatologiczne oraz rekoncyliacyjne znaczenie bierzmowania. Pneumatologiczno-rekoncyliacyjny wymiar sakramentu bierzmowania wskazuje na ontologiczne dopełnienie, które ma miejsce w czasie udzielania sakramentów inicjacyjnych. Koptyjska teologia sakramentu bierzmowania wraz z jej pneumatologiczno-rekoncyliacyjnym znaczeniem może być twórczym impulsem dla teologii katolickiej, a dla chrześcijaństwa zachodniego inspiracją w poszerzaniu horyzontów teologicznych, odkrywaniu nowych aspektów w sakramentologii i eklezjologii.

The article presents various applications of the chrism (the holy myron) in liturgy of the Orthodox Church. First a particular time of applicationan and meaning of the chrism (myron) in the Byzantine tradition is shown. Then the author discusses the process of evolution of the Byzantine baptismal anointments (prebaptismal and postbaptismal) in the context influenced by the syrian liturgical tradition. Particularly anointing with the chrism (myron) is indicated, that in Byzantine rite is considered as confirmation (miropomazanie). He speaks about anointing of various spots of the body and about the accompanying prayers as it is proved by the former practice of the Russian Church (17th). Finaly, at attempt at formulating liturgical theology of the human body has been made, as it appears in the liturgical practice.

Artykuł ukazuje rodzaje różne zastosowań krzyżma (świętego myronu) w liturgii Kościoła prawosławnego. Przedstawione są najpierw szczególne miejsce i znaczenie krzyżma (myronu) w liturgii tradycji bizantyjskiej. Autor omawia następnie ewolucję bizantyjskich namaszczeń chrzcielnych (przedchrzcielne i pochrzcielne) w kontekście wpływów syryjskiej tradycji liturgicznej.  Szczególną uwagę zwraca na namaszczenie krzyżmem (myronem), które w obrządku bizantyjskim pełni rolę sakramentu bierzmowania (miropomazanie).  Ukazuje namaszczenia myronem na różnych częściach ciała i towarzyszące im modlitwy, na przykładzie dawnej praktyki Cerkwi rosyjskiej (XVII wiek). Na koniec podjęta została próba sformułowania liturgicznej teologii ciała ludzkiego, wyłaniająca się z tej wschodniej praktyki wielu namaszczeń w obrzędach bierzmowania.
