Artykuł dotyczy rodzącego się w literaturze polskiej zjawiska powieści mitycznej o Zagładzie i jego związków z krytyką afektywną oraz kiczem holokaustowym. Budzący wiele wątpliwości w porównaniu z, częściowo opisanymi, powieściami popularnymi sukces takich książek jak „Król”, a szczególnie „Królestwo” Szczepana Twardocha (traktowanych jako przykładowy materiał badawczy) daje szansę przemyślenia zarówno kategorii samego kiczu, jak i jego możliwych związków z teorią afektów, inspirującą przedstawicieli studiów holokaustowych.

The article refers to a recently-born phenomenon in Polish literature, namely a mythical novel about the Holocaust, as well as to its connections with affective criticism and the Holocaust kitsch. The success of the books, rising many controversies, as compared to partially examined novels such as Szczepan Twardoch’s “Król” (“King”), and especially his “Królestwo” (“Kingdom”) (viewed here as research material), offers a chance for considering both the category of kitsch itself, and its possible connections with affect theory that inspires the representatives of Holocaust studies.
