The article is devoted to activity of American nongovernmental organizations, aimed at forming innovative leadership skills among the high school and University students. The author has analyzed the activity of the NGOs accredited by the US Department of Education in the terms of innovative leadership development. The author has systematized the aims of the following organizations, targeted at high school and university students: Business Professionals of America, Distributive Education Clubs of America, Future Health Professionals, National Young Farmer Educational Association, SkillsUSA, The Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda. They mostly deal with the development of leadership through initial professional socialization achieved through group activity and competitive events organized by above mentioned organizations. One of the most effective means of ensuring continuity in the «high school – university» is named NGOs whose activities we consider in this article. Formation of leadership skills is through vocational work, providing information on training opportunities after high school. The organization provides services on testing abilities, skills and interests and allows taking part in various competitions in a city, state or country. We have analyzed the associations which have branches in all USA states and are a powerful factor in providing the knowledge and skills associated with leadership in different areas of life today for American seniors and students. Each of these associations has its specific defined area of activity and specific purpose, which is focused on achieving work with both age groups. The most frequently used leadership driven activity have been systematized in the table which shows the tendencies in organizations as well as gives material for the conclusions concerning the most efficient ones both with the high school and with University students. The author has come to the conclusion that with the persistent application of the strategies described in the article the following tasks might be achieved: growing up a new generation of democratic leaders for a democratic country, forming a group of professional leaders in different spheres; training of high school students to entering higher educational establishments; professional socialization of the youth on edge of sphere school education and higher level of professional training.
