Poszukiwania genealogiczne cieszą się współcześnie dużym zainteresowaniem naukowców, jak i pasjonatów dociekających swoich korzeni rodzinnych. Chociaż precyzyjna definicja informacji genealogicznej w zasadzie nie istnieje, w praktyce przybiera ona na tyle ściśle określone formy, że trudno ją pomylić z innymi rodzajami informacji specjalistycznej (np. informacją medyczną, europejską czy prawną). Jej cechą charakterystyczną jest bowiem bardzo rozbudowany opis, bazujący na specjalnych systemach numeracji przodków, potomków i pokrewieństw. Podobnie jak inne rodzaje informacji z kolei, informacja genealogiczna bywa różnorodnie prezentowana. Potwierdzenie tej tezy przynosi szereg inicjatyw genealogicznych realizowanych w środowisku sieciowym: stron WWW instytucji zajmujących się genealogią, serwisów poświęconych poszukiwaniom rodzin, baz danych specjalizujących się w przechowywaniu i udostępnianiu danych genealogicznych, a wreszcie specjalistycznych portali społecznościowych umożliwiających tworzenie własnych drzew genealogicznych. Niniejszy artykuł jest próbą omówienia istoty informacji genealogicznej, najczęściej wykorzystywanych systemów numeracji genealogicznej oraz przykładowych elektronicznych zasobów dedykowanych tej tematyce.

Genealogical research is enjoying a great interest of scientists as well as fans investigating their family roots in our times. Although no precise definition of genealogical information exists, in practice it assumes strictly determined forms which makes it hard to mistake it for any other type of specialist information (e.g. medical, European or legal information). Its description is complex and based on special systems of numbering of ancestors, descendants and kinships as a distinctive feature. Similarly to other types of information, genealogical information is diversely presented. This thesis finds its confirmation in a number of genealogical initiatives carried out in the network environment: web pages of institutions dealing with genealogy, services devoted to family search, databases specializing in the storage of genealogical data, and specialist community portals enabling to create family trees. The article is an attempt to discuss the nature of genealogical information, most commonly used systems of genealogical numbering and model electronic resources dedicated to this area.

W artykule zbadano historię pochodzenia rękopisu Euchologionu Kijowskiego (XV-XVI w.) znajdującego się w Watykańskiej Bibliotece Apostolskiej (kolekcja Borgio-Illirico nr 15). Podano miejsca, w których zachował się ten rękopis, oraz sposoby jego wykorzystania na przestrzeni wieków. Dokonano analizy historiograficznej dotychczasowych badań oraz opisu tego manuskryptu we wcześniejszych opracowaniach naukowych. Ponadto podano paleograficzne i kodykologiczne aspekty niniejszego rękopisu oraz wskazano i potwierdzono jego unikalność, a także doniosłość jako jednego z ważnych źródeł dla historii, języka i kultury narodu ukraińskiego.

The article examines the history of the manuscript of the Kiev Euchologion (15th-16th century) located in the Vatican Apostolic Library (collection Borgio-Illirico No. 15). The places are given where this manuscript has survived, and how it has been used over the centuries. A historiographic analysis of previous studies was made and the descriptions of the manuscript that were made in earlier scientific studies were presented. In addition, paleographic and codicological aspects of this manuscript were given, and its uniqueness as well as its importance as one of the important sources for the history, language and culture of the Ukrainian nation were indicated and confirmed.
