The paper analyses factors and conditions which determine the level of cooperation between Lithuania and Poland and which, according to their effect, are divided into driving forces and ob stacles. The maindriving forces are associated with the Euro-Atlantic: objectives of both countries that affect the developmental trends and with the EU membership. They include different bi lateral and multilateral agreements, participation in the institutions operating within the Baltic: Sea macro-region,and in the pursued strategies,as wellas the possibilities to benefit from the EU regional policy instruments. The main objective is to present the perceived factors in cognitive schema change as experienced by participants from two Slovenian sectors and to compare them with factors from schema change theory in order to evaluate specific circumstances and obstacles to effective cognitive schema change. 31 interviews with participants from six companies were conducted twice during the 2008 economic crisis. The prevalent perceived antecedents of schema change lie within an organisation and in the business environment. Stimulating factors are also economic and financial crises and personal characteristics. The prevalent obstacles to schema change, as perceived by participants, are stability of current cognitive schemas, personal characteristics of management, and rigidity.

Every human being has some experience of giving and receiving. Although this is a universal reality which exceeds culture, religion and ethnicity, it is only recently that research has begun to focus on the subject of gratitude. This article seeks to analyze gratitude from the perspective of modern psychological research. Specifically, it examines obstacles to the expression of gratitude and suggests strategies to enhance it. The research literature clearly supports the important role that gratitude plays in many areas of life, especially with regard to well-being, health, coping with stress, and cultivating pro-social relationships. It is very important to know what contributes to disturbances in experiencing and expressing gratitude, as well as factors that enhance it.

Unequal access to formal employment, decision-making power and social prestige can lead to vulnerabilities and social exclusion especially in rural areas. Feminist researchers and advocates for women assert that the preservation of agriculture, family farming and diverse rural culture in particular depend on the empowerment and participation of women (Hoff 1992, p. 79). In this paper, I attempt to evaluate rural/farm women's position and the extent of their vulnerability and social exclusion in an area of Slavonia in the eastern part of Croatia. Specifically, I use interview and fieldwork data to identify and elaborate their roles, participation in decision-making, and the obstacles/constraints that rural women face in these rural communities to evaluate the extent of their contribution to rural development. Further, it is my intention to explore if rural women represent an untapped resource in rural spaces that would contribute to rural development and raise the quality of life in these areas.

This research paper aims to provide a picture of women’s participation in various positions in the field of digital games in Slovakia, such as creators of game content, women involved in eSports, the gaming industry, casual gamers as well as women working in the field of digital game education. Based on theoretical knowledge and qualitative in-depth interviews with seven women working in various positions in the gaming industry, the women’s positive and negative work experiences, and the problems and obstacles linked to their gender were identified. The research is specifically focused on the situation of women in the gaming industry in Slovakia. The results show that female gamers and streamers face negative behaviour from their fellow players and viewers which may result in an array of negative consequences. Findings also indicate that the low representation of women in some areas of the gaming industry is a consequence of prevailing gender roles in society. Furthermore, women’s participation in eSports and competitive gaming is limited due to toxic meritocracy, prevailing masculinity and sexism.

Sondażem objęto 392 studentów kierunku wychowanie fizyczne – bialskiej i krakowskiej AWF. Stwierdzono, że respondenci w większości prezentują wysoki poziom aktywności fizycznej. Podejmując różne formy aktywności fizycznej kierują się głównie aspektem zdrowotnym, zaś jako główną przeszkodę utrudniającą im podejmowanie aktywności fizycznej wymieniają ograniczenia czasowe wynikające z toku studiów.

The paper highlights the experience of using computer games in the educational process of high school students in the USA. During the last decade, the international educational space is characterized by an increasing interest in the using of computer games in various types and forms of learning, based on the experience acquired by the players. The most widely used video games are characterized by the game action which is performed through the control of visual images on a computer monitor. The approaches to the introduction of games into educational practices, based on scientific evidence of the positive influence of gaming activities, in particular video games, on students are the most topical. The works of Adam Eichenbaum, Daphne Bavelier, Shawn Green, Peter Gray, and others have shown long-lasting positive effects of video games on basic psychic processes: perception, attention, imagination, memory, decision making. Most studies have shown that engaging in video games requires students to think fast, keep track of many elements at once, store large amounts of information, and take decisions on game actions for a limited time. According to the psychologists, these skills are the main building blocks of intelligence and they play a decisive role in cognitive activity. Although the expediency of using games in learning is scientifically proven, at the same time there are complex moments associated with the introduction of computer games into the learning environment both in the study of individual disciplines and in the course of the implementation of alternative training focused on the dominant use of gaming activity, an important component of which is a computer game. The methods of scientific search included the use of content analysis of monographic, periodical pedagogical, psychological literature to find out the basic notions, concepts of the research; netnography for the analysis of sites, blogs, on which scientists, teachers, parents exchange experience of using computer games in education of high school students. The paper describes the positive influence of video games on the development of students’ cognitive, logical, linguistic, literary and social skills. Video games stimulate learning process and have all the components that provide effective learning (motivation, clear goals and rules, interpreted results and constant feedback). The use of games in training allows abandoning standard testing, as learning and evaluation are functionally combined in the game. The principles describing the positive influence of games on the development of students are formulated: improvement of basic visual processes; improvement of visual contrast sensitivity; successful treatment of amblyopia; improvement of attention and vigilance; improvement of the ability to track moving objects in sight; decrease of impulsivity; overcoming of dyslexia; improvement of executive functioning; increase of mental flexibility; improvement of skills related to the completing of cognitive tasks. The paper presents one possible solution to the introduction of games into the curriculum of general education institutions, which is to provide 100 percent of the learning time to gaming activity. In 2009, in New York, within the framework of cooperation between the Institute of Play and The New York City Education Center, with the support of the MacArthur Foundation, Quest to Learn-Q2L school for students of 6–12 grades was created, in which each subject is studied through a playing activity that involves computer games. The topical task for the domestic pedagogical theory and practice is the study of foreign experience in determining the conditions for the use of computer games in education of high school students as an important instrument of developing the skills of the ХХI century, in particular, cognitive, creative, communicative, and collaborative ones.

This Article presents the Islamic doctrine about marriage. Presenting it as flowing from the nature of Islamic law. The Author presents the objectives and effects of the union of a man and a woman, paying attention to the difficulties appearing in mixed marriages. The context for the presentation of norms for the marriages with Christians is the Catholic understanding of union of a man and woman. Filling the law, understood as submission to the will of God (Arabic word Islam means just submission/surrender) is to lead the human and the community to achieve temporal and eternal happiness. The doctrine of Islam strictly defines the duties of man, taking heed to his moral weakness. In marriage law, where possibility of easy dismissal wifes, or breach of contract contrasts with the austerity principles regarding religious upbringing of children, it is especially visible.

The religious institutes in the Catholic Church priorities the issue of the formation of candidates. Vocation to a religious life is verified at the initial stages: in prenovitiate and novitiate. This article mentioned the canonical and legal requirements determining validity and honesty of the admission, first to a postulant and then to a novitiate. A decision concerning the admission of candidates is made by higher superiors. Guidelines in making the decisions are provided by recognition of age, health, personality and maturity of the interested. Subsequently, the superiors must exclude the existence of any obstacles which would cause nullity of the legal transaction: admission to novitiate. Their decision is based on prior familiarization with documents and certificates which are demanded or required by the common law of the Church and own law of a religious institute. They should also consider prohibitions concerning novitiate admissions since although they do not cancel the decision, ignoring them would be an ill deed. The actions of superiors, taken meticulously and in accordance with the Canon Law, will result in good discrimination and admission of  appropriate and suitable candidates, and that, eventually, will prove favorable to the latter and the institute itself.
