Zaprezentowano wyniki badań nad zależnością pomiędzy zasobami przyrody nieożywionej a istniejącymi ofertami turystycznymi z nimi związanymi. Założone cele zrealizowano, stosując metody inwentaryzacji i kwerendy.

The results of investigations of the relationship between abiotic tourist resources and related available tourism offers are presented. The need to create a Roztocze area product is indicated as well. The goals were achieved with the stocktaking and query methods. The results demonstrate that a majority of the current offers in Roztocze comprise products, i.e. trails and objects, but there is no event referring to natural resources exclusively. The distribution of unexploited abiotic natural resources indicates that the Roztocze area product should be developed based on the resources of the existing “Roztocze – witalność z natury” [Roztocze – vitality by nature] brand, and the concept of the Kamienny Las na Roztoczu [Roztocze Stone Forest] Geopark as well as the designed Transboundary Biosphere Reserve.

In the contemporary market conditions, creating the tourism product image requires conducting proper promotion policy, including the selection of appropriate instruments. This process is noticeable in the context of the strategic activities of major cities, provinces, or countries. Promotion policy in creating the image of the tourism product should also be applied at the local level: not only in relation to large cities (municipalities) or counties but also with rural and urban-rural entities. The specificity, complexity, and often ambiguous identity of the entities have made creating the image of the tourism product in municipalities less popular. The purpose of the article is to present the essence, as well as the benefits of the promotion policy in creating the image of the regional tourism product on the basis of a research performed in the West Pomeranian province municipalities.
