Aim. The aim of the research was to answer two research questions. The first concerned learning about the changes in legal regulations in the fi eld of speech therapy during the spread of COVID-19. The second was related to examining the behaviour of speech therapists implementation of speech therapy classes during the suspension of classroom classes. Material and method. The research used contextual analysis of data from Facebook social networks and the Internet space. Conclusion. The analysis of the obtained data showed that the regulations and guidelines did not create a coherent set of rules for the organization of speech therapy aids. Despite these limitations, online speech therapy was conducted: initially, asynchronously, with time, in a mixed form.

Cel. Celem podjętych badań było uzyskanie odpowiedzi na dwa pytania badawcze. Pierwsze dotyczyło zmian regulacji prawnych w zakresie pomocy logopedycznej w czasie rozprzestrzeniania się COVID-19. Drugie wiązało się ze zbadaniem zachowań logopedów zaangażowanych w prowadzenie zajęć logopedycznych w okresie zawieszenia zajęć stacjonarnych. Materiał i metody. W badaniach zastosowano kontekstową analizę danych pochodzących z sieci społecznościowych Facebook i przestrzeni Internetu. Wnioski. Analiza uzyskanych danych wykazała, że regulacje i wytyczne nie tworzyły spójnego zbioru zasad organizacji pomocy logopedycznej. Mimo tych ograniczeń prowadzono terapię logopedyczną online: początkowo asynchronicznie, z czasem w formie mieszanej.

Speech therapy is a process that requires the involvement of the therapist, the patient and (in the case of children’s therapy), parents. Classes include diagnosis during which pronunciation is assessed as well as the functioning of the speech organs and their anatomical structure. During therapy the speech therapist often needs direct contact with the patient in order to call up the sound (manually or with a spatula or speech therapy vibrator), massage the face or articulation organs, and show (by touch) where the tongue should be while uttering the sound. Online speech therapy is therefore a new and difficult challenge for speech therapists as until now working directly with the patient has been their main activity. This article presents the results of a study by 205 speech therapists who answered questions about online speech therapy and compared it with inpatient therapy.

Logopedzi to grupa zawodowa o wielu kompetencjach. Pracują oni zarówno z niemowlętami, dziećmi, jak i osobami dorosłymi. W trakcie terapii często mają bezpośredni kontakt z pacjentem podczas oceny budowy i sprawności aparatu artykulacyjnego, masażu orofacjalnego, ćwiczeń artykulacyjnych, kontroli odruchów niemowlęcych i wielu innych czynności. Pojawienie się obostrzeń związanych z pandemią wirusa COVID-19 sprawiło, że wielu logopedów rozpoczęło pracę online. Niniejszy artykuł opisuje badania przeprowadzone wśród logopedów dotyczące zdalnej terapii logopedycznej.
