W ostatnich dekadach media niezwykle się zmieniły. Papież Franciszek przypomina, że ważną kwestią staje się umiejętność dialogowania ze środowiskami stworzonymi przez nowe technologie i portale społecznościowe. Nie można się na rzeczywistość obrażać, lecz należy wchodzić w nią i wewnętrznie przemieniać. Zrozumienie tego pozwoli dostrzec, że nawet pisanie tweetów może przyjąć wymiar edukacyjny i formujący nowe pokolenia. Z tej racji funkcjonowanie w świecie nowych technologii komunikacyjnych staje się obowiązkiem każdego głosiciela Ewangelii. Skoro więc papież bywa nazywany mistrzem komunikacji, to czerpanie z jego przykładu staje się wyzwaniem, któremu trzeba podołać.
