Niniejszy artykuł prezentuje wyniki badania poświęconego lokalizacji parkingów typu Park and Ride (P&R – parkuj i jedź) w przestrzeni dużego miasta, zrealizowanego w Łodzi. Potencjalne, włączone do badania lokalizacje zaczerpnięto z raportu z konsultacji społecznych w sprawie systemu transportowego Łodzi na rok 2025, przeprowadzonych przez łódzki Zarząd Dróg i Transportu. Wypracowana na potrzeby artykułu metoda badawcza została tak pomyślana, aby uwzględniała wszystkie kluczowe dla funkcjonowania tego typu parkingów czynniki. Wprowadzono więc do analizy dane dotyczące: liczby i pochodzenia osób dojeżdżających do pracy do Łodzi, liczby i rozmieszczenia przystanków miejskiej komunikacji zbiorowej, funkcjonowania miejskiego przedsiębiorstwa komunikacyjnego oraz liczby i rozmieszczenia budynków o funkcji usługowej i przemysłowej w przestrzeni miasta. Rezultatem badania jest wskazanie tych spośród potencjalnych lokalizacji, które w świetle aktualnie występujących czynników charakteryzowałyby się najwyższym poziomem efektywności funkcjonowania.

This paper presents the results of a study on locating Park and Ride parking lots in a big city on the example of Łódź. Possible locations included in the survey were based on the data found in the report of the public consultation on the transport system in Łódź in 2025 conducted by the Board of Roads and Transport in Łódź. A method, which was developed for the purposes of this article, included all the key factors of this type of car parks functioning. Therefore, the analysis included the following data: a number and routes taken by commuters in Łódź, a number and location of public transport stops, a functioning of the municipal transport company and a number and location of service and industrial premises. The study manage to identify potential locations of car parks which, under the currently circulating factors, have the highest level of operational efficiency.
