The purpose of the article is an attempt to develop the primary habitus into the secondary in school environment, through the passage rituals (rites de passage) and related to them social drama (Social Drama). I assume that the school environment is normalized by institutionalized rituals in which the primary habitus is transformed into the secondary habitus through rituals. Its subjective consolidation and possible transformation is being done by education and upbringing. From the side of education, consolidation and transformation are complemented by school documentary and textual practices, and from the side of education by the moral ideal, conditioned by so-called the effect of reversing. All this process, hermeneutically and circularly complements the structure of the rite of passage.

The text deals with the rituals of passage, granting and approval accompanying entering adulthood. These considerations refer to both theoretical issues, taking into account the typology of rituals proposed by Pierre Bourdieu, and to selected results of own research (quantitative and qualitative) carried out at the end of the first decade of the 21st century among high school graduates of the Świętokrzyskie region. The ritual practices that are still important for young people (confirmation, "eighteenth" and high school graduation) were taken into account, although the manner of their celebration and the functions performed are subject to more or less significant transformations.

W tekście podjęto problematykę rytuałów przejścia, nadania i zatwierdzania towarzyszących wchodzeniu w dorosłość. W rozważaniach tych odniesiono się zarówno do kwestii teoretycznych, uwzględniając typologię rytuałów zaproponowaną przez Pierreʹa Bourdieu, jak i do wybranych rezultatów badań własnych (ilościowych i jakościowych), przeprowadzonych pod koniec pierwszej dekady XXI wieku wśród maturzystów regionu świętokrzyskiego. Pod uwagę wzięto te praktyki rytualne, które nadal posiadają znaczenie dla młodzieży (bierzmowanie, „osiemnastka” i matura), choć sposób ich celebracji oraz pełnione funkcje podlegają mniej lub bardziej istotnym przeobrażeniom.
